Lemon Mint Water Detox

With the epic massacre of last night Superbowl now behind us, it's time to refocus on our health.
At most American gatherings there is usually a buffet of fried and greasy finger foods abounding with alcohol and eating until your hearts content and stomach is stuffed. What I'm learning as I progress through my health and fitness journey is there are ALWAYS healthier options that taste just as good if not better.

If your recall, I mentioned in this video that I am not a fan of water, except in tea. However, I did discover a compromise that's more beneficial than juice or tea and doesn't involve adding sugar. Infusing water with fruit, is not only fricking craze-amaze good but it's so beneficial as many combinations work to detoxify your body, naturally.
My current favorite flavor is the lemon and mint combo. 
Lemon is one of many fruits that can be used for several health and beauty purposes. You can learn all about that here. (But if you don't feel like leaving)  Basically, lemon will act as a total body cleanser. While the mint will, help with digestion, and you'll get all of the benefits of it listed here.

The combination of the two are not only beneficial for the inside of your body but will show on the outside as well, as if prevents the signs of aging and helps clear acne and fade acne scars.

Ready to make it? All you need is
1/4 of a lemon
2-3 mint sprigs
a pitcher (or old wine bottle) of water

Put it all in a drinking receptacle and let it marinade for about 30 minutes (in the refrigerator if you prefer your water chilled). Serve and sip. The best part is, if you use a single serve cup or water bottle you can reuse the fruit throughout day. The flavor will taper off as the day goes on but your body will absolutely love you for it. ALSO, it's a great detox for hangovers.
