3 Easy DIY Accessory OrganziersMay 9, 2014
What if I challenged you to create your own accessory organization? The only catch is, you have to use stuff you already have in your home.
Today's DIY was completely inspired by this hot mess on the floor of my closet (it was way worse but I had already cleaned most of it before I realized I hadn't taken any pics). If this is your first time reading my blog, let me introduce you to my DIY Dollar Store organization hacks. If you've been following this blog for a while, you already know this is completely unacceptable. Prior to the accessory catastrophe, all of my belts were stuffed onto a flimsy tie organizer (may it rest in pieces) that would cause everything to hit the floor as soon as I touched it.... EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Out of sheer frustration, I began running around the house trying to find ANYTHING I could use to build a replacement. I ended up finding an old hoop earring, a plastic hanger, a pants hanger, a 2" binder, a hammer, shower curtain rings, zip ties, and hair rubber bands. Still not sure how I thought of all of this random stuff, all I know is it all works together to create a pretty sturdy organization system; not to mention, I didn't spend any additional money.
I'm sure most you already have this stuff around the house, but in the event you don't, most dollar stores carry everything but the hammer. If you're ready to put it all together, watch the video below...
Easy Right? The greatest part is it doesn't take up that much space, especially valuable wall space. Just hang it in the closet and your good to go. Are you going to give it a try?
