Break the Rules

May 15, 2014

I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do. I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do. -Robert A. Heinlein

What goes on under an over-sized blazer ain't nobody's but yours(.. and anyone who sees it while it's open).

Top - WetSeal; Jacket - Forever 21; Pants - Marshall's; Shoes - Forever 21;

Have you ever looked in your closet and saw a shirt that would go perfectly with your outfit but it probably, definitely kinda-sorta violates the school/company policies? Yeah, I had that moment this morning. I hardly ever wear this crop top during the week for that very reason. As I pulled dang near everything out of my closet, I noticed another barely worn item: the over-sized pink blazer. It was one of those online purchases that seemed like a good idea at the time (and was probably on sale) but when I got it, I remember thinking, "This thing is going to engulf me...." and it does.

By pairing it with these linen pants and crop top, the skin to clothing ratio is a bit more balanced. Even when the jacket is closed in the office, I still don't get the suffocating feeling of fabric everywhere. Also, I love how it can easily go from day to night, just by opening the jacket. I believe I have a new favorite combo with this OOTD.
