Every day we have plenty of opportunities to get angry, stressed or offended. But what you're doing when you indulge these negative emotions is giving something outside yourself power over your happiness. You can choose to not let little things upset you.

In life, there are many uncontrollable factors, especially other people. When you are doing something positive, it seems that the negative energies are always magnified and way more noticeable. After posting my last DIY video, I noticed a few of my "friends" had a problem that I used the Marilyn Monroe photos instead of someone or something they approved of.
I honestly didn't (and still don't) see the big deal about the photos because I got 12 for $1 and I don't care about celebrity. I honestly got it because it went with the theme and decor I already had, plus I was trying to find a cheap way to fill up the empty wall space (mission accomplished). I could have gotten offended that there was a passive notation made on social media outlets, but it's just not worth my time nor energy.
I told the story simply to lead to this point. One if the greatest things I am learning on my life's journey is, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but their outside influence can only affect me if I allow it. There are so many things that will come into your life and distract you from your goal, but only if you allow it. Make a conscious decision to recognize distractions for what they are, then make another conscious effort to continue being positive.
