Mac and Cheese in a Mug

March 10, 2015

This may be the year I gain weight.
I've been debating for the past few weeks whether or not to share my famous mac and cheese recipe because everyone that has ever eaten it loves it. Unfortunately, it is one of the most fattening ways (EVER) to make classic macaroni and cheese, but that's what makes it so good. While I'm not going to share my exact recipe in this post, I will share another version that is very close and just as good.

I'm warning you in advance, you may be tempted to make this over and over and I will not be held responsible for your actions. This recipe is enough for 2 servings. Be sure to spray the mug with cooking spray before you begin, otherwise you'll be soaking the cup all night.

1/4 Cup Milk
1/2 TBSP  Butter or Margarine
1 TBSP Flour
1/3 Cup Macaroni Elbows
1/3 Cup Water
1/2 Cup Shredded Cheese

1. Mix Milk, Butter, Flour, Salt , Macaroni, and Water in a large mug and microwave on HIGH for 2 minutes.
2. Stir, then add the cheese and cook for another 3 minutes on High in the microwave.
3. Stir and allow mug to cool before serving.

4.  (Optional) Top with breadcrumbs and additional cheese. Serve warm,
