I Got A Tattoo!?!?!

When in doubt, love.

As a kid I was obsessed with (temporary) tattoos. I remember sticking a whole pack of them all up and down my arms and legs, because (at age 6) that's what made you cool. I also remember at one point actually asking one of my family members to take me to get the real thing when I was 8 because my uncle had the  Looney Tunes character, Yosemite Sam, on his leg and I thought it was pretty bad ass!

Luckily, my family had the good sense to ignore me, because over the years my taste has changed drastically from my tomboyish childish ways in the last 20 years. I went from wanting cartoon characters to wildlife to words in foreign languages. Then there was the random little cutesy (hearts, stars, horseshoes, clovers and blue moons) phase. In more recent years, it's been quotes and faith related symbols.

I've always said, if I was to ever get another tattoo, I would have to see myself loving it just as much at 80 as I do at 20. I love inspirational and motivational quotes and posts because they are timeless, and I have always known that if/when I was to get another tattoo, it would need to be meaningful. In addition to changing my mind like I change my clothes when it comes to tattoos, I have a phobia of needles.
No matter how many times I've hyped myself up, I always chicken out because needles make me act a damn fool. Luckily, the good people at Tattify reached out to me and sent me a package filled with all kinds of wonderful, sophisticated, TEMPORARY tattoos. Not only were the ones I received inspirational, but they were also in different languages, and there were a few fancy gold metallic tattoos from the Smooth Operator Kit as well.

I've been browsing around on there website, and it appears they have added glow in the dark and knuckle tattoos since my last visit. *Mental Note: YOU NEED THOSE* In addition to temporary tattoos, Tattify also carries nail wraps! I haven't been able to get my hands on them yet but I will (and I'll probably tell you about it when I do).

There are over 700 designs to choose from, and the best part is, in the off chance you can't find one you like, you can make your own! Tattify's custom temporary tattoos are very easy to put on and take off, so there's no long term commitment. But if you fall in love with Tattify as much as I have, you will definitely want to check out their new subscription service, the Ink Kit, which will be available April 2015. The monthly fee will be $17.99 but you will receive $100 worth of products.

If you want your temporary tattoo to last a little longer, put a thin layer of baby powder over the tattoo and seal it with a few quick blasts of hair spray over it. I got an extra 2 days of out of my tattoo from this trick! Because I know you will love Tattify as much as I do, you get to take 30% off your purchase when you enter the code shainaglenn at checkout!

Head over to Tattify's website and let me know some of your favorites!
