Because... Roxanne is out of timeout.

Since Roxanne (yeah, my hair has a name) stayed in timeout for the past year and a half, I decided to let her live a little in 2017. I'm always hesitant to try new hair products on her because she's picky. There have been products on EVERY natural hair "must have" list that do nothing but cause more harm than good for our cause. We're side eyeing you, coconut oil.

Since beginning my natural hair journey in May 2010, I have consistently used drugstore brand hair products but L'oreal was never at the top of my list... If I'm being really real, it wasn't even on the same page. Probably because I  associate Loreal with makeup, not Ethnic hair care. I'm glad I got to try the L'Oreal EverCreme Shampoo, Conditioner and Renourishing Butter compliments of Influenster.

I have kinky/ curly hair and was surprised that my hair didn't get tangled during the washing process. Since the winter has been so direspectful, my hair felt a bit dry. I began with The Loreal EverCreme Renourishing Butter as a pre-shampoo treatment. It's basically a conditioner wash (aka co-wash) which left my hair hydrated, cleansed and soft. My curls were also fairly defined.

I followed it up with the Loreal EverCreme shampoo which has a very pleasant smell and actually left my hair feeling refreshed. Since it's sulfate free, it doesn't lather very well but it still gets the job done. According to the label, it's 100% vegan and I appreciate the it comes with an affordable price tag. I will definitely be keeping this in my stash!

I finished the process with the Loreal EverCreme conditioner. I appreciate the extra moisture is gave Roxanne and how easy it was to detangle my hair.

I allowed my hair to air dry before I straightened my hair at 450 degrees with my Irresistible Me Jade Straightening Brush. If you would like to see how I straighten my natural hair, check out this post.
